I will be using my mobile, I don’t have a landline if that makes a difference.

I swithched my old land line service over to T-Mobiles VoIP service. I put a threeway splitter into the router RJ11 jack, ran one line to the phone, one line to my fax, and one line into the old RJ11 wall jack in that room. Seems like that should work. The phone and fax work fine in that room. The old wired phones in other rooms have no dial tone. I have a cheap RJ11 tester that shows: no light, a red light, or a green light when plugged into a jack. They all show green, but again there is no dial tone.
Thanks. Good idea, but I tried that. And the wall jacks are not dead, the phone display lights up when I pick up the receiver. There is just no dial tone and pressing numbers makes the tones, but does not dial out. I just don’t understand the difference between running an RJ11 line from the router to a phone, verses running an RJ11 line to the wall jack which is just more RJ11 line to the other house jacks. It seems like it should just work.
PS: Also, all the wall phones jacks worked before the old land service was cut off from Sage Telco.
That is probably the difference. The circuit back to their box on the street may be causing the issue. THANKS for the help. You’re great.
