I just got a new netbook. Can I use it like a mobile phone where wifi is available? Or using a voip connection or Skype? Will this be cheaper than using a cell phone?
I don’t want to pay $60 a month anymore for my phone if I can get much cheaper or free service through my netbook.

Skype will work,
BUT people can’t call you if you are out of wifi range!
