some internet providers block VOIP applications, e.g. T-mobile has 2 tariff options where u pay more for VOIP one.
is it similar with hotspots? do they block skype?
FYI: i would use skype on WIFI enabled laptop

The best way is to try it – but I supposed BT Openzone is just a BT Broadband connection that is wireless and can be connected to by anyone so you’d still be able to use the Internet as you would at home, including messenger and Skype. The only thing is if the airport have blocked VOIP but I can’t see why they’d do that.
