Getting information on pretty much anything. We can know what’s happening anywhere in the world practically just by getting online. In addition to communicating with people all around the world.

Which age group, of those listed in Question 2, would you say most uses the internet, and for what purposes?
I think so because in my situation that I see most is school and education. My boyfriend does not have access to internet at home, and it’s at a disadvantage when he needs something off the internet THAT night, and he doesn’t have a way to get to the library.
Either the 12-18 age group, or 18-30.

Yes. MySpace, Facebook, AIM, and Yahoo.

I rarely use my AIM account anymore. And I talk to friends on Yahoo. I check Facebook and MySpace regularly. Multiple times a day, usually.
11) Do you regularly use slang/ abbreviated terms when communicating in this manner? e.g. lol, brb, btw? How did you come to learn these terms?
No. I don’t like it. For the most part, I type everything out and use correct punctuation.
12) Would you say you are reliant on these technologies for communication? Why do you use them?
Besides a cell phone, the internet is probably the way to communicate for me. It’s just easy, and fast, and convenient.

6) i think the biggest benefit of the internet today is just being able to have all information in one place that you can find in a matter of seconds. whatever you need is right there.
