I have a vonage VoIP phone at home. I am expecting a call and do not want to take it. I don’t want the person who is calling to think I am not at home. I want them to get a message that says ‘Phone unreachable’ or ‘out of coverage area’ or other such thing. I know how to do this with mobile phone but how to do this will cell phone ?

    Forward it to your cell phone, forwarding is free with Vonage.

    Or use your cell phone to play the error message and record that as your Vonage voicemail message.

    Error messages are normally staticy anyway, so you recording won’t make a different, they won’t even notice it was a jacked message.
