VOIP Plan Covering All Angles

On April 18, 2010, in mobile VoIp, by VoIP

Here’s what I’m thinking. I had an earlier video up about going to VOIP using my iPod Touch, but quickly realized that wouldn’t work. Why? Well if I plan to use this as my primary mobile line, which i do, that means I’d have to be in Skype all the time & couldn’t go to any other app on my iPod. Wait, what about emergency calls? What about lack of WiFi? This video covers a solution I put together, that should cover all of that, and be cheap at the same time.

Try the S0-20 Skype WiFi Phone, Snow Leopard, two Star Trek films (the one from 09 and First Contact from 1996), Super Mario Wii, and a talking watch.

Dude instead of getting 2 phones and going threw with your complicated ass plan why don’t you grow up and learn how to manage your regular account instead of making mommy and daddy buy you a new phone with a new plan and a prepaid phone you big jerk

There ARE good VOiP services. I would NOT rely on verizon’s “mobile” broadband though. Verizon’s mobile broadband connection quality varies GREATLY. I still like wired phone service with a standard cordless phone. And I have a prepaid cell FOR EMERGENCIES only. I have embarq home phone, and DSL, and I get UNLIMITED long distance, ANY TIME day or night. I’m only paying about $75 per month. I buy $20 air time with Tracfone every 3/mo, and I’m set for about $80/mo with GOOD, reliable high speed.

I saw it, favorited it, and was happy to see he gave it a perfect 5. I was also happy to see I didn’t have to tether it to my Mac, like I’d originally thought.

Via SkypeOut, you can call any outside line within the U.S. & canada for $3.00/month roughly, completely unlimited. You’ll have to manually add your contacts. You can do so on your Mac, because it just contacts the server. No syncing is needed.
