- because it enables me to be globally mobile
- because it is free
- because i like the fact i can see my friends

Is it likely that within 1 1/2 - 2 years time Apple could release a VoIP iPhone?

(4 out of 5)
Voicebox of impotent penguins?
voip stands for voice over internet telephony…….that is when voice is transmitted via the internet…….it is cheap , voice is clearer , and host of other features which outscore a normal phone………installation costs are more but its advantages pawn them………call centres international generally use this technology where voice is routed via dedicated servers worldwide………….
Its cheap, reliable, integrates to my PC address book, and with a decent QOS. However I’ll only use it over a VPN so i can get decent service. Normal internet VoiP – you can keep it.
Use it all day for my main line
The deciding factor the deciding factor the advantages still out weigh them some how think are many disadvantages of voip the deciding factor the advantages.

VOIP is voice over Internet Protocol. It has nothing to do with seeing friends, and being globally mobile and having all contacts in one place is irrelevant.
Also, most VoIP programs aren’t free, unless you make the call from a computer. (Skype for example)
VoIP also comes as a regular phone line to most people. We have it, through Charter. We find it the most useful because we make MANY long distance phone calls.
There are other companies, like Vonage, that are VoIP based.
Mainly because its cheaper than my pay monthly mobile
