Like from he UK there are these websites that offer international calls for domestic rates. You dial the access number from a phone and they connect you to your international number. They charge it to your phone bill so u don’t need a credit card or calling card pin number. But it’s at a domestic rate rather than dialing direct from ur fone and paying international. I dunno any of them in the US. Can someone tell mi.

I use several ways to call around the world…

VoIP
SIP
or access number>>>

VoIP is my provider, and you can call Africa, I had seen many customers one the forum from US to Africa! you might check it out!

the next is SIP>>>like Skype or yahoo.voice

the other option is>>

http://www.onesuite.com/

there are also pretty cheap….I have the access number on speed dial, then all I have to do is dial 2 numbers…each friend as there own 2 digit number…very easy…

The key technical requirements to set up a broadband connnection in one school in rural Eritrea Africa?

We want to set up a broadband connection so students from that school and it’s “sister” school in Pullach, Germany can communicate with each other by VOIP, mail, etc. What I am looking for is a list of the basic requirements [...]

THis is for a German charity which works already with this school in Eritrea. We want to set up a broadband connection so students from that school and it’s “sister” school in Pullach, Germany can communicate with each other by VOIP, mail, etc.
What I am looking for is a list of the basic requirements that would have be established to make this possible. I.e. could it be done by satellite connection or better by another alternative? Is broadband unrealistic and it would have to be dial-up (not good for the VOIP aspect). We also considered going straight to a mobile phone to mobile phone online connection but that would limit the online tools we would like the students to be able to use.
Any help here in: 1) establishing a list of criteria, 2) suggesting alternatives to how to establish the direct connection for the students 3) or ability to help make this possible direclty, will all be greatly appreciated.
