how much does it cost to make an international call from your mobile phone?

I just talked to my friend in New Zealand for 10 minutes on my cellphone. I called her. I can’t figure out how much its going to approximately cost me. I don’t have international calls included on my plan. Anybody know a round-about figure?

I’m going to Germany, Switzerland and Austria in April. I plan to keep in contact with my family and boyfriend while I’m this trip. My questions is can cell phones receive calls(while the person is in the U.S.) from a land line in foreign country?

My boyfriend is the cellphone I’ll be calling and his carrier is Sprint. My mother has AT&T.

Recently a friend went to study to the US, since we’re from Honduras, our carriers have better international service plans, so it’s cheaper that I call her, but when her billing sheet arrived for this month, she was charged $400 just from received calls from my number; so I was wondering if there is a cellphone plan that doesn’t charge received international calls.
PS: no skype or voice yahoo since this way only helps us when either one is on the computer

I have a company cellphone (blackberry) that restricts my ability to download apps. I’d like to find a VoIP service, but many of them require me to download an app to my device. Are there any “online only” services available?

Not quite sure how you can use a mobile VoIP service without having to download the app to your phone. It’s not a mobile voip anymore if its not in your mobile phone right?

Anyways I use Fring on my HTC mobile phone (windows) and I use my Onesuite account and it works like a charm. I believe Blackberry can not use Fring or other softphones at the moment so I guess it’s going to be hard to find something compatible for your Blackberry even if you can download it in your phone.

I would like to get “headset service” to run on my bluetooth mobile phone so that I can use it to make VoIP (Skype) calls through my bluetooth PC laptop, instead of having to carry a traditional bluetooth headset around.

As far as I know mobile phones are coded telling itself and other bluetooth devices that it is a phone. I don’t think there is a way, altho it’s a good idea

you can get software for cellphone to work as SIP device in wi fi zone at Fring.com.
Service providers , Check out smartvoip.com or Voipfone.com.
