My VoIP phone has only the RJ-45 port and no USB port to connect to a USB bluetooth adapter. How do I get around that and what products are recommended?

You’re wanting to use your cell phone to make VoIP calls? If that’s what you’re trying to do, you can’t do it. I use VoIP and it’s controlled by the adapter that was provided by the VoIP company. Attaching anything other than a residential phone isn’t supported.
You would actually have to own a phone that supports both protocols. They are in the making, but they aren’t on the market yet.
I’m not sure why you want to connect your cell phone to your VoIP phone adapter. If you’re looking to be able to make and receive VoIP calls from your cell phone try going to http://www.squidoo.com/Cell-Phone-International-Calling-Guide and looking at the section about how to make calls using the mobile web.
